Le Bon Oeuf (The Good Egg)

Yesterday I spent the day home with my wee little one. He has been ill with fever and a runny nose. He laid in bed most of the day watching his favorite TV shows. When I walked in to check on him I found a tissue-stuffed nose. His goal here was to stop his nose from running. It might have worked for a while, but he removed them when he found it difficult to breath with that wading in place.

While he rested I took the opputunity to be creative. With Easter just around the corner, I took the time to put together a little Easter Kit. Below is a peek of the cards included in the kit. I call it "Le Bon Oeuf", English translation, The Good Egg.

The kids includes the A Good Egg stamp set and supplies to recreate these cards. There's a special 2-card bonus as well, but you'll have to contact me to find out.

Bonne Saint Valentin

Title translation: "Happy Valentines Day". Here's something I put together last night for the kids teachers for a Valentine Gift. I've added rub-ons to some wine glasses my neighbor gave me MONTHS ago. I was going to give them away, but I came up with this idea to put them to use.

These rub-ons are from the Eastern Elegance pack from Stampin' Up! It was my first pack of rub-ons purchased ever. They're really quite simple to use. Just cut out the image you'd like, peel the back off, stick it to your item and rub with a bone folder. Walla!

Those black borders are my attempt to add a little more jazz to the image since I didn't take the time to add photo props.

Happy Valentines Day. XOXOXOXO

Kind Thoughts Framed Art

Hum, two post in the same week, that's a new record.

Here's something I have been working on. It's a prepurchased frame (with matboard) and insides are medallions I created with the Kind Thoughts stamp set from Stampin' Up! The main image below is blurry but you can see better in the close-ups below.

Here are a few close-ups of the medallions.

The center of the top right Medallion uses a Build a Brad system. Super easy and it really does help give that little extra to your art!

Below is a close-up of the text (Touch of Nature stamp set)

Superbowl Sunday

Today is Superbowl Sunday. Not that I really care, I am NOT a football fan (at all). Just seems appropriate to acknowledge it since the bulk of the country will be watching the game tonight. So GOOD LUCK to both teams.

I've actually been very busy this weekend finishing up a swap that is late. I try not to be late on my swaps but sometimes it is inevitable. This particular swap was a Heart Art Swap. I'll post a few images below, but the bulk of them will be on my Flickr account. I think my little tin box turned out great!

The theme of this swap was HEART ART ...and "I" (who is slacking up in the 'multitasking' department) didn't create this exactly how the swap hostess wanted. I think the title "Heart Art" kind of explains it all. Here's a close-up of the "heart" I added (as the only hearts I had on it were the tiny pink heart beads).

Below is the inside of the tin. The text on the left is actually script from the "Victoria" magazine underneath. The tin covers are see-through. I think the magazine and the tin photograph well together don't you?

Here is the tin closed. This crepe paper on top is from my 11 year olds 2 year birthday party. I saved it...because, I like to drive my husband C rA Z y!

Friday night was my Pizza and Valentine workshop. A BIG thank you to everyone who came out. I hope you all had fun (it sure looked like you did). Remember, the first Friday night of every month I hold a class upstairs at Whole Foods. Cost is $10 for 3 cards and you get to socialize with your stamping friends!

Now, i'm off to create a Artistic Art Frame for my stampers club tomorrow night. I'm also preparing for Scrapfest which will be here before I know it. Busy, busy, busy!

Have a great Superbowl everyone!
