Wow. It's been a month since I lasted posted. It's nice to be back

I've been absorbing things as usual; things I want to work on and accomplish. It's a long list, and instead of knocking things out I simply continue to add on and 'fit them in' where I can...back to those "Pockets" of time.
Currently I have been in the new products from the Fall/Winter 2008 catalog from Stampin' Up! Lots of pretties in there. In fact, my open house is tomorrow and I'm supposed to be working on my make and takes. I am playing with my BEEEEEEEEUTIFUL new Stampin' Up! exclusive die "Tulipe". It was in the preview catalog and it's even more lovely close up. After cutting out a sample onto a sheet of cardboard, I simply HAD to share. Look at this:

Do you see what I see? Not only can you use this for die cuts but as a STENCIL as well. I just love it! I'll be creating some beautiful things with this die...just you wait! I'll be sure to share.
A few weeks ago I was able to preorder a few of the new hostess stamp sets and a few others. Here are samples of some swaps I recently completed:

In other news, my husband decided we NEEDED another dog.

Our previous dog passed away on Mother's Day. Now, don't get me wrong, I LOVE animals, HOWEVER, 3 kids and a NEW DOG will can put a mom into overload.

For those of you who have little ones, surely you know what I mean? He's 11 months and requires lots of play and attention (something between my kids, homework, job and my hobby I have NO time for). To make things more complicated, this particular breed needs human companionship (or so the husband says) and needs to be in the house with us. "
In the house? He's twice the size of our other dog!
Is that completely necessary? We'll never get the smell out."Here's a photo of our new addition to the family. The kids took it when I wasn't around (otherwise he would NOT be in my bed).

He is the size of a miniature pony (IMO) and is impossible to move. Run into him by accident and it's like crashing into a steel barrel. It's not that I don't like him, he's beautiful and for being new to the house is fairly well behaved (except for the small fact he uses me for a chew toy).

Here he's eating my freshly cut "Tulipe" die's.

I have to just grin and bear it. He's not going anywhere, and the kids love him.
OK...back to preparing for my Open House. Have a great weekend my friends.
