Sand Art and upcoming events.
Last week my daugther sent me a link to this amazing artist that create art with sand on a glass table. View her 2008 Love sand art below.
Here's a quick and easy birthday card I made yesterday. This medallion was created using the Scallop punhc and the new Boho Punch from Stampin' Up!
I've been busy preparing for the upcoming Scrapfest event in Mandeville, Louisiana. You should check out the site and think about attending. It's going to be FUN, FUN, FUN!

Pizza and Valentines....
It's not to soon to start thinking about Valentine's Day.
Join me for a "Pizza and Valentines" workshop at the Whole Foods Market in Baton Rouge, February 1st. The cost of the class is $10 and includes one jumbo piece of cheese pizza and 3 'lickety split' Valentine cards. The key word here is LICKETY SPLIT...simply meaning, these cards will be quite simple as the goal of this get-together is to eat, stamp and look at some of my awesome samples from Leadership!!!
As as a special bonus, all those who have been wanting one of the new 2008 Spring/Summer Idea book and catalog will be able to pick one up for Free at the workshp (a $10 value)! This catalog special is a one time offer. Now...WHAT could be better than that?
Oh, I know. A door prize drawing at 6:45pm! So get there on time and you can earn a new stamping goodie for yourself!
*** If you are interested in the class but can not attend, just let me know and I will mail you the completed samples along with a new catalog as well. Snail-mail kits are $13.50 ($3.50 to cover the cost of postage and a mailer***
Here's the deets:

Blogger Challenge week 29 & 30
January 19, 2008
Always....a labor of love
Almost two weeks and I haven't posted. I've been away in Palm Springs which was fabulous and returned to the hustle and bustle of everyday life without time to catch up.
I had to fit in some stamping time this weekend though. Sadly I didn't do my blogger challenges (missed two in fact), but they'll be up tomorrow.
Here's a card that took me ALL day to do.
Yes.....ALL day, because anyone who has kids knows you can't work it for more than 5 minutes at a time or something like this happens:
I heard "No, No" from big brother and knew that couldn't be good!
Sadly, this lipstick is only a month old. The 'rest' of it is mushed inside the cap.

Tick Tock.....
I've been working on getting my swaps done for Leadership in Palm Springs next week, thus my reason for being behind...in almost everything. Well, I'm behind in everything but the housework because I can't seem to concentrate on doing anything if the house is overy untidy.
So, without delay, here is what I've been working on. Here are two Blogger Challenges I fell behind on. I knew what I was doing for BC27 (my bathroom shower curtain); just couldn't pin-point the exact stamps to use. The challenge was to create a card using something that inspired you. Odd to select a shower curtain as inspiration I know, but I really love the colors and patten on it. Below is a photo of the shower curtain followed by my take on transferring the idea onto paper.
I only wish the ribbon in the middle were wider.
Challenge #28 was to create a Pink and Brown card.
I have several other cards to post, but it's time to put the kids to bed, so, until tomorrow.

The Resolution....AGAIN!
For those who subscribe to this blog...sorry for the re post. It was published before I had time to complete the text. What happened was, I asked DD to upload the images so I could get lunch started and she decided to publish before I could explain the images. Oh well. Here goes again!
First off....Happy New Year to everyone! I'm sure there are many of you making (or have made) your list of resolutions. I haven't yet and you can bet that exercise and dieting will NOT be on it like the rest of the US, LOL! I see no reason to set myself up for something that I simply can not follow through on...especially with my busy schedule.
Now, that I've thought, there are two resolutions I'd like to work on and that's better organization and to get some scrapbooks of my kids done. Like you, I have 100's of photos (thanks to the ever-so forgiving digital camera). I spent well over an hour cleaning images from the photo files of my hard drive and came across a few, well, memorable images. Below are a few, along with a couple of extras.
Most of these photos are of my 3rd (and last) child. I do not remember my two eldest (11 & 7) doing THIS much damage.
Here are a few of the fireworks I was able to take photos of, until one of the neighbors complained (at ONLY 10:30pm).
Here is Chalk Boy. He's taken the liberty of fully coloring himself with the jumbo chalk I purchased.
Ever wonder what chalk taste like?
Well, he did!
Here is a VERY RARE photo of a man wrapping 'a' gift. *** insert grumbling sounds of annoyance here ** He HATES to wrap...anything! Thank goodness for gift bags!
Ever wonder what dog food taste like? He did. Here he is examining his morsels. YUCK!
When all is quite........BEWARE! One of the downfalls of moms trying to multi-task. There was no harm done here really, just me having to deal with cleaning him off; but at least he had fun!
This was TEDDY BEAR day when my son was in Kindergarten (last year). Do you see something odd in this photo? All the boys cluster together as a helpless teddy bear gets hung by a rope while one girls flees with her pink teddy.
OK, now back to cooking lunch for New Years. Have a great day!
