PCS May ~ Wodden It Be Lovely

Panels, planks, pallets.  What do they all have in common?  They're all made of wood.

 

Wood, be it recycled pallets, old fences or barnyards, has evolved into home décor and arts and crafts.  It's the later of the two in which the design team was given a challenge to create projects with a wood theme.

 

The May issue, "Wooden It Be Lovely" offers project ideas using stamps and textures resembling wood.  They've really come through with an array of ideas, each unique.

 

Keeping in theme with the wooden theme, the template of the month is a Garden Bench with a sweet Hardwood background stamp.

Pinecone Crafting

 

I've had a desire to make a simple, realistic, 3D paper pinecone ever since I spotted this cutie.

It's a great embellishment, especially this time of year when you see pinecones scattered on the ground.  Think I'll give it a whirl and see what I can come up with.

April 2014 ~ Fabulous Florals

Gardens are coming to life.  Budding trees and perennials will soon fill our homes with bursts of color and fragrance.  If your garden hasn’t awaken quite yet, try decorating with a few paper beauties.

The April issue of the Paper Crafter Sampler, “Fabulous Floral”, issue shares an array of ideas for beautifying your home with flowers until your outdoor garden is in full bloom.  All projects in this issue are focused around a floral theme.  You’ll find cheery and feminine crepe paper poppies, pop-up flower box cards and several lovely cards with flowers popping off the front.
